Hyderabad, Sept.6 (NSS): Students are the top priority for Congress government and officials should work for resolving all the problems related to the students on a priority basis, said Minister for Panchayat Raj Seethakka.
The Minister held a video conference meeting with officials from the Secretariat here on Friday to discuss issues such as quality of education, infrastructure, food, and other facilities in tribal residential schools, hostels, and Gurukul institutions.
Speaking on the occasion, Seethakka said the promotions and transfers of teachers, which have been pending for ten years, have been completed recently and stated that if there are any problems related to the teaching and staff, these problems will be resolved as early as possible.
She warned the authorities of taking stringent action against them if they were negligent in duties and advised the teachers and wardens to take care of children’s health during the rainy season.
“Students should not leave hostels and go to water bodies and forest areas. If the students have fever, the better treatment should be provided to students, instead of sending them home,” Seethakka said.
The Minister criticised the opposition leaders for targeting the State government on the issue of hostel students and damaging the morals of the employees.
Stating that the Chief Minister Revanth Reddy is paying special attention to the welfare of ST students, Seethakka clarified that bills would be paid through green channel
