Hyderabad, Dec.19 (RAHNUMA): Former minister and BRS MLA Talasani Srinivas Yadav demanded that a corporation be established for the Lashkar area.
Talasani Srinivas Yadav, along with another BRS MLA Mutha Gopal, participated in a protest at Dharna Chowk on Friday, demanding the establishment of Lashkar Corporation. Speaking on the occasion, he said the merger of 27 municipalities into the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation
(GHMC) was illegal and the current delimitation process was carried out without following due process.
“The people of this area demand that the Secunderabad area, which has a history of over 200 years, be established as a corporation.The people insist that the revenue generated from our area should be spent solely on the development of our area. The demand of setting up a separate corporation for the Lashkar area is very genuine. We will intensify the protest till the justice is done for the area,” he said.
Talasani Srinivas Yadav said the proposed divisions were not done scientifically and it is shameful that the merger proposal was made without even the mayor’s knowledge
