Hyderabad, Feb.19 (RAHNUMA): The stage is set for the budget sessions of the Telangana State Legislative Assembly. The state government has decided to conduct the Assembly sessions from February 26.
During these sessions, the Telangana government will present the budget on February 28. Under the leadership of Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, the government intends to conduct the Assembly proceedings over a span of 10 to 15 days.
In preparation for this significant event, the Finance department is finalising the budget. Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka has already convened pre-budget discussions with various departments and is currently preparing the budget allocations for them. He is set to present the budget for the financial year 2026-27 on February 28.
Reports suggest that the allocations in this forthcoming budget are anticipated to exceed those of the previous year. A substantial emphasis is expected to be placed on welfare initiatives and infrastructure development within this budget.
