Hyderabad/New Delhi, Jan.20 (RAHNUMA): Telangana Chief Electoral Officer C. Sudarshan Reddy on Tuesday welcomed a senior delegation of Mexican election officials at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi, on the sidelines of the India International Conference on Democracy and Election Management (IICDEM – 2026).
The Mexican delegation comprised Marisa Arlene Cabral Porchas, Head of Mexico’s International Affairs Unit, and Norma Irene De la Cruz Magaña, Electoral Councillor. Telangana Additional Chief Electoral Officer Vasan Venkateshwar Reddy, along with Special Deputy Collectors Chennaiah and Prasuna, were present during the interaction.
The three-day IICDEM–2026 conference is being organised by the Election Commission of India (ECI) through the India International Institute of Democracy and Election Management (IIIDEM) and will be held from January 21 to 23 at Bharat Mandapam.
According to the organisers, the conference features 36 thematic working groups led by Chief Electoral Officers from States and Union Territories. The programme also includes participation from scholars of premier institutions such as IITs, IIMs, National Law Universities, and the Indian Institute of Mass Communication, along with over 40 bilateral meetings involving Election Management Bodies from across the world.
