Nizamabad, Jan.23 (RAHNUMA): The Telangana government is prioritising skill development to address youth unemployment, said government advisors Mohammad Ali Shabbir and P. Sudarshan Reddy at the Skill Development Initiative Programme (SDIP) held at the Nizamabad District Collectorate on Friday.
Addressing students and educators, Shabbir Ali said academic degrees alone are no longer sufficient and stressed the need for industry-relevant technical skills. He noted that the Congress government under the leadership of Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has introduced advanced courses, including Artificial Intelligence, particularly for ITI and polytechnic students.
Sudarshan Reddy urged the students to fully utilise the training programmes, stating that the government aims to provide high-end technical skills even to students from government institutions and underprivileged backgrounds. He added that plans are underway to ensure employment opportunities for students completing the training.
The programme was attended by District Collector Ila Tripathi, senior officials, heads of educational institutions, and a large number of students.
