Telangana govt accelerates EJHS implementation in Delhi

Hyderabad, Feb.9 (RAHNUMA): As per the instructions of Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, and the continuous follow-up of A.P. Jithender Reddy, Special Representative & Adviser to the state government, a convergence meeting was conducted at Telangana Bhavan, New Delhi on Monday, under the chairmanship of Gaurav Uppal, secretary (coordination), Government of Telangana, who has been personally and closely monitoring the matter through regular follow-up.

The meeting was held with the management of Indraprastha Apollo Hospital to discuss empanelment under the Rajiv Aarogyasri Health Care Trust for providing cashless treatment facilities to beneficiaries under the Employees & Journalists Health Scheme (EJHS).

The meeting was attended by representatives from Apollo Hospitals Mahaboob Pasha, representative from Rajiv Aarogyasri Health Care Trust; Ch. Chakravarthi, PRO& nodal officer for JHS and other officials from the Resident Commissioner office.

During the discussions, the Rajiv Aarogyasri Health Care Trust agreement was accepted by Apollo Hospitals, marking a significant step towards extending cashless treatment facilities under EJHS to eligible beneficiaries in Delhi.

At present, the Telangana government, through the Rajiv Aarogyasri Health Care Trust, has successfully completed the empanelment of all MAX Group hospitals in Delhi, along with BLK–MAX Super Speciality Hospital. Journalists and other eligible beneficiaries will be able to avail treatment facilities at these hospitals within the next 10 days, as website integration and technical formalities are currently in progress.

The Telangana government is also actively pursuing the empanelment of additional hospitals in New Delhi to further expand access to quality healthcare facilities, with the process being regularly reviewed and followed up by the Resident commissioner & secretary and coordination.
