Hyderabad, Nov.12 (NSS): As part of their international tour, the Telangana Legislative delegation paid tribute to Mahatma Gandhi by placing garlands on his statue in Tokyo, Japan on Tuesday.
The delegation included Telangana Assembly Speaker Gaddam Prasad Kumar, Legislative Council Chairman Gutha Sukhender Reddy, Deputy Chairman Banda Prakash Mudiraj and Legislature Secretary Dr. V. Narasimha Charyulu.
In addition to Telangana representatives, the Speaker and Deputy Speaker of the Sikkim State Assembly joined in the homage ceremony. The event was organised with the support of the Indian Embassy in Japan, represented by the Embassy Secretary.
The Telangana delegation visited Japan after participating in the 67th Commonwealth Parliamentary Association (CPA) Conference held in Sydney, Australia. Following this conference, the legislators undertook study tours, including a visit to New Zealand, before arriving in Japan.
