Hyderabad, May 29 (RAHNUMA): The Telangana government has once again demonstrated its commitment to the welfare of its employees.
It has not limited its promises to mere words but has translated them into action.
Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka had earlier assured leaders of the Employees’ Joint Action Committee (JAC) that long-pending dues of employees amounting to ₹6,000 crore would be cleared within 100 days.
Moving in line with this commitment, under the instructions of Finance Minister and Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka, Finance department Special Chief Secretary Sandeep Kumar Sultania issued orders on Friday releasing ₹2,000 crore in the first phase.
With the funds released, the government has fully cleared key pending dues related to retired employees. The General Provident Fund (GPF) dues of retired employees have been cleared 100%. Additionally, all commutation dues pending up to May 2025 for retired employees have also been fully settled.
“This has been made possible through advance planning and a clear action strategy. As promised, the government is working at a fast pace to deposit the remaining ₹4,000 crore into employees’ accounts within the stipulated timeline,” Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka said in a statement.
Meanwhile, employee union leaders and retired employees have expressed happiness over the government’s proactive approach and swift decisions, thanking the people’s government.
