Telangana seeks German collaboration in IT, defence, and pharma sectors: Bhatti

Hyderabad, Dec.12 (RAHNUMA): Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka said Germany and India have enjoyed a long-standing friendship, and expressed hope that this relationship will grow even stronger in the coming days.

Bhatti Vikramarka along with Minister Sridhar Babu, met the German Parliament delegation at Praja Bhavan on Friday.

Addressing the delegation, the Deputy Chief Minister said the Telangana government is ready to collaborate with Germany in the IT, defence, and pharma sectors. He assured that Telangana would extend full support if Germany invests in these areas and proposed working together to promote mutual development.

The Deputy Chief Minister further stated that Telangana is keen to send skilled human resources to Germany and is interested in working jointly in Germany’s renowned metallurgy and automobile manufacturing sectors. He explained these opportunities in detail to the German delegation.

Bhatti Vikramarka said the Telangana government is proudly developing the Bharat Future City, while also prioritising Musi River rejuvenation and agriculture-based sectors. Hyderabad continues to grow as an IT hub, and the government is ready to collaborate with Germany in these areas as well.

IT and Industries Minister Duddilla Sridhar Babu informed the delegation that the Telangana government gives utmost importance to cyber security. He said a Cyber Centre of Excellence has been established with a long-term vision, and significant research is underway in this domain.

A cyber security cell has been set up under the leadership of a senior police officer, and two dedicated floors have been allocated for cyber security operations in the Integrated Command and Control Center, he explained.

Sridhar Babu said that cyber security teams have also been formed in the districts. Economic offences are steadily declining, and the state is using top AI tools to prevent financial cyber fraud and phishing attacks, he said.
