Telangana to boycott NITI Aayog meeting on July 27 : CM Revanth

Hyderabad, July 24 (NSS): Protesting against the injustice done to Telangana in the Union budget, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy announced that the State government has decided not to attend the NITI Aayog meeting to be chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi on July 27.

The State Assembly on Wednesday passed a resolution appealing to the Union government to render justice to Telangana by amending the budget proposals in the ongoing budget debates.

Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister said the union government had completely neglected the State government’s pleas and showed discrimination in the budget allocations to Telangana.

“The State Assembly registered a strong protest and expressed unhappiness over the Centre’s neglect for Telangana,” Revanth Reddy said.

He stated that the Telangana State is meted out injustice in the Union budget and the Centre has adopted indifference towards Telangana from the day of the formation of the State. The BJP government at the Centre has failed to fulfill the promises made in the AP Reorganization Act. The unfulfilled promises have a negative impact on the development of the Telangana State, the Chief Minister pointed out.

“We have decided to boycott the NITI Aayog meeting to protest the injustice done to the Telangana State,” Revanth Reddy announced.
