Hyderabad, Dec.4 (NSS): Chief Minister Revanth Reddy said Telangana emerged as surplus budget State due to the commitment and efficiency of former chief minister late Konijeti Rosaiah.
He reminded that the Telangana State was formed with a surplus budget of Rs. 16,000 crores and it was possible only because of Rosaiah.
Speaking at a programme at the Hitex Exhibition Center in Hyderabad on Wednesday to mark the occasion of Rosaiah’s third death anniversary, the Chief Minister recalled his association with the former chief minister and his services for the development of State.
Recalling the suggestions of Rosaiah, Revanth Reddy said,” When I was an MLA, Rosaiah called me to his chamber and made valuable suggestions. He said that you were speaking well, you should study more and come to the House. The opposition must question and the ruling party should solve those problems. Moreover, the ruling party should be held accountable for the well-being of the people,”
He stated that Rosaiah worked as the Governor of Tamil Nadu without any controversy.
“His perseverance and cleverness in words are very important. We need to learn from him how to corner the opposition if he is in the ruling party. If Rosaiah is in the opposition, he should put the Chief Minister in a tight spot. The present generation politicians need to learn from Rosaiah’s style of functioning and his dedication,” the Chief Minister said.
Revanth Reddy also asked the Arya Vysya community leaders to select a good location in Hyderabad for setting up a statue of Rosaiah and suggest it to the government.
“We will take up the construction of the statue under the supervision Roads and Buildings department and will complete it by the time of his fourth death anniversary,” Revanth Reddy disclosed.
