Hyderabad, Sept.5 (NSS):Minister for IT and Industries Duddilla Sridhar Babu informed that the Telangana government is working aimed at reaching a trillion dollar economy.
Addressing the Global AI Summit at HICC here on Thursday, the Minister said Telangana is now leading the Artificial Intelligence revolution and as part of its endeavour, the State government is taking steps to emerge as the global leader in the field of AI in the days to come.
“Our State is growing at an incredible 11.3 percent annual rate, with a GSDP of $176 billion. We are aimed at becoming a trillion-dollar economy soon,” he disclosed.
He also mentioned that the upcoming AI City, a 200-acre hub for AI research and development near Hyderabad, will make Telangana a global AI powerhouse.
The AI City project will provide state-of-the-art computing facilities, wide data centers, and sustainable connectivity, fostering new innovations and strengthening the State’s technological capabilities, he said.
“We also plan to launch a School of Excellence within the AI City,” the Minister announced.
He further stated that till the completion of
AI City, the Telangana World Trade Center at Shamshabad will provide 2 lakh square feet of fully equipped office space for AI based companies so that they can start operations.
Sridhar Babu also informed that the Telangana government has signed 26 Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with leading private sector organisations, educational institutions, leading tech companies, startups and non-profit organisations and these MoUs will help make Telangana a strong force in terms of AI in the country.
