
Hyderabad, Jan.7 (RAHNUMA): To manage the surge in passenger traffic during the Sankranti festival season and ease congestion at Secunderabad Railway Station, the South Central Railway (SCR) has announced temporary stoppage of several trains at Hi-Tech City, Cherlapally and Lingampally stations.
At Hi-Tech City Station, multiple express and mail trains will halt from January 7 to 20, 2026, including Bidar–Machilipatnam, Lingampalli–Narasapur, Sainagar Shirdi–Kakinada Port, Lingampalli–Kakinada Town, LTT Mumbai–Visakhapatnam, and Lingampalli–Visakhapatnam services.
At Cherlapally Station, temporary stoppages will also be provided from January 7 to 20, 2026, covering trains such as Secunderabad–Gudur, Secunderabad–Visakhapatnam, Tirupati–Secunderabad, Hyderabad–Visakhapatnam, and Secunderabad–Bhubaneswar.
Meanwhile, several long-distance trains will continue to stop at Lingampally Station from November 1, 2025 to April 30, 2026, including services to Rajkot, Porbandar, Tirupati, Mumbai, Pune and Hyderabad.
SCR advised the passengers to make use of these stations for quicker boarding and alighting, especially during peak hours. Owing to redevelopment works at Secunderabad Railway Station, parking at Platform No.1 remains suspended. Passengers are advised to use Platform No.10 (Bhoiguda side) for better access, basement parking, lifts, and direct platform entry.
