TGSRTC STEPS IN AMID INDIGO CRISIS, LAUNCHES SLEEPER BUSES

Hyderabad, Dec.6 (RAHNUMA): Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TGSRTC) has deployed special sleeper buses from Shamshabad Airport to Bengaluru and Chennai in response to widespread IndiGo flight cancellations. The RTN sleeper services depart daily at 4:30 PM from the airport.

Additional buses have been arranged to Rajahmundry, Kakinada and Visakhapatnam to ease passenger congestion.

IndiGo’s mass cancellations have disrupted travel nationwide, leaving passengers stranded. Indian Railways has introduced special trains on various routes, including Secunderabad–Chennai, Cherlapalli–Kolkata and Hyderabad–Mumbai, and added 116 coaches to 37 trains to handle the surge.

Passengers at Renigunta Airport reported chaos and lack of prior intimation from IndiGo, expressing strong dissatisfaction over continued online ticket sales in spite of ongoing crisis and targeting Union Minister Rammohan Naidu in their complaints.
