TIMS ALWAL HOSP TO BE READY BY MARCH 2026: SPL CS VIKAS RAJ

Hyderabad, Dec.15(RAHNUMA): Special Chief Secretary Vikas Raj on Monday directed the officials to fast-track construction of the Telangana Institute of Medical Sciences (TIMS) Hospital at Alwal and complete the project by March 2026.

During a field inspection, conducted on the instructions of Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy and R&B Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy, Vikas Raj stressed for strict adherence to timelines without compromising quality. He said TIMS hospitals are a priority for the State Government and noted that the Alwal facility is being developed over 12,14,060 sq. ft. at an estimated cost of Rs.1,196 crore.

Officials informed the special CS that structural works are complete, brickwork and plastering are nearly 95% done, MEP works have reached 60%, and flooring and painting 50%, with overall progress at about 70%. The Special Chief Secretary instructed close coordination between R&B and Health departments to ensure timely installation of medical infrastructure and operational readiness. Regular inspections will continue, he said.
