TPCC chief highlights Telangana’s reconstruction under Congress rule

Hyderabad, Dec.9 (NSS): Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) President and MLC Mahesh Kumar Goud lauded the Congress-led government for successfully completing one year in office while countering opposition conspiracies.

Speaking to the media on the premises of Legislative Council here on Monday, he emphasised the dual celebrations in Telangana, including the Praja Palana Vijayotsavalu and the birthday of Sonia Gandhi, the architect of Telangana statehood.

The TPCC president recalled Sonia Gandhi’s unwavering commitment to fulfilling the promise of Telangana State and urged people to participate in the celebrations, transcending political differences.

He also highlighted the unveiling of the Telangana Thalli (Mother Telangana) statue, which reflects the state’s culture and heritage. Mahesh Kumar Goud invited leaders from all political parties to participate in the event as a gesture of unity.

Accompanied by MLCs Balmoor Venkat Narsing Rao and Teenmaar Mallanna, Mahesh Kumar Goud spoke passionately about Telangana’s progress under the Congress governance.

He affirmed that the Congress government is steering Telangana toward reconstruction and progress with the blessings of the people. The TPCC chief criticised the BJP’s Central Ministers from Telangana for failing to support the state’s development.

“Politics should be limited to elections. Beyond that, everyone must contribute to the state’s progress,” he stated.

Mahesh Kumar Goud also took a dig at the BRS, accusing its decade-long rule of being confined to farmhouses and private estates. “Unlike the previous regime, Congress has brought governance closer to the people, adhering to democratic principles,” he remarked.

Earlier in the day, Mahesh Kumar Goud, along with AICC in-charge Deepa Das Munshi and Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka, participated in Sonia Gandhi’s 79th birthday celebrations at Gandhi Bhavan. The event included the ceremonial cutting of a grand cake, followed by a mega blood donation drive organised by the TPCC.

The celebrations also saw the participation of Ministers, MLAs, MLCs, senior Congress leaders, and party workers, who came together to commemorate the day with enthusiasm.
