Hyderabad, Jan.11 (RAHNUMA): On the death anniversary of Lal Bahadur Shastri, the second Prime Minister of India and a great leader, who stood as a symbol of integrity, TPCC President and MLC Mahesh Kumar Goud paid rich tributes. Recalling Shastri’s legendary slogan “Jai Jawan, Jai Kisan,” Mahesh Kumar Goud said that Lal Bahadur Shastri accorded equal importance to national security and the farmers’ welfare. Leading an extremely simple life, he said that Shastri demonstrated extraordinary leadership and remains an inspiring role model for the nation.
He noted that during the war with Pakistan, Shastri’s courageous leadership guided the country with confidence and enhanced India’s prestige on the global stage and added As a beacon of values, honesty, and discipline in politics, Shastri’s life continues to serve as a guiding light for the present generation.
Mahesh Kumar Goud stated that carrying forward Shastri’s ideals would be the true tribute to him and affirmed that the Congress party would continue its relentless struggle for the welfare of the farmers, soldiers and the poor as its core objectives
