Hyderabad, Nov.16 (NSS): Minister for Agriculture Tummala Nageswara Rao has emphasised the Telangana government’s commitment to making oil palm cultivation a profitable venture for farmers.
Speaking at a review meeting on the progress of oil palm companies here on Saturday, the Minister declared the goal of positioning Telangana as the top State in oil palm cultivation across India. He directed officials to expedite necessary measures to achieve this milestone.
The Minister expressed dissatisfaction with underperforming oil palm companies, warning them to improve their operations or face the cancellation of their permissions, which would then be handed over to TS Oil Fed. He instructed that all companies must establish processing plants in their allotted zones by the end of next year.
