Hyderabad, Aug.18 (NSS): Minister for Agriculture Tummala Nageswara Rao has lashed out at the Opposition parties for spreading malicious campaign on the crop loan waiver.
In a release here on Sunday, the Minister said that for the last four days, the opposition leaders had been misleading the farmers on the crop loan waiver, using the social media as a platform and they were indulging in cheap tactics against the Congress government.
“The opposition leaders are trying to save their political existence by criticising the Congress government’s schemes, which are being implemented as promised. With the State government increasing the trust of the people, the opposition leaders are unable to digest the facts and moreover, they are trying to create confusion among the farmers with their false statements,” Tummala criticised.
He further stated that the State government has extended the loan waiver scheme to all farmers whose family determination has been completed upto Rs.2 lakhs and it will also pay those farmers whose accounts are left with less than two lakhs after doing family determination.
“We are also collecting the details of farmers with incorrect information received from banks and are trying to rectify the mistakes for extending the loan waiver facility to all eligible farmers,” Tummala said.
