Tummala urges farmers to sell cotton at Govt procurement centers

Hyderabad, Nov.5 (NSS): Agriculture and Marketing Minister Tummala Nageswara Rao has advised farmers to sell their cotton exclusively at the government-established procurement centers.

The Minister held a review meeting with officials of the Marketing department here on Tuesday. Director Uday Kumar and other senior officials were present in the meeting.

On the occasion, Tummala Nageshwara Rao highlighted that the Cotton Corporation of India (CCI) has set up 105 procurement centers across the Telangana State and emphasised that all ginning mills should operate as notified.

The Minister also discussed moisture content issues in cotton procurement with the CCI Chairman and Managing Director.

Additionally, Tummala Nageswara Rao directed collectors and marketing officials to promptly address any problems arising during the cotton procurement process.
