Hyderabad, Nov.28 (RAHNUMA): Global tech leader Sundeep Kumar Makthala, who was recently conferred the prestigious ‘Palace-Endorsed UAE Golden Visa’, received a rousing welcome at the Hyderabad International Airport here on Friday. A vibrant flashmob and cheering supporters greeted him on his arrival.
Soon after landing, Makthala, accompanied by his wife Bhagya Lakshmi, paid a courtesy visit to IT and Industries Minister D. Sridhar Babu at the Minister’s Quarters – his first stop in India. The gesture, he said, was to express gratitude for the continuous encouragement shown by the Telangana government.
Makthala, known for his contributions to the Telangana movement through tech-driven volunteer mobilisation, reaffirmed his commitment to strengthening Telangana – UAE partnerships in investment, innovation, startups and global industry collaborations. The UAE’s rare honour has deepened his resolve to contribute to Telangana’s growth, he added.
Minister Sridhar Babu lauded Makthala’s global influence and service, noting that leaders who elevate Telangana’s identity internationally bring “pride and opportunity” to the state. He welcomed Makthala’s support for the state’s vision in emerging technologies and industrial expansion.
Makthala, who represents 2,843 companies across 63 countries as Chairman of WTITC, described the UAE honour as a ‘responsibility to strengthen global connections for the state and the country.’
