Voting for Uttarakhand’s assembly elections 2017 was held on February 15, 2017 for 69 constituencies. The state that voted in a single phase recorded a voting of 68%.Apart from the ruling Congress and the main oppostion BJP, the BSP and a number of independents and regional parties have also tried their luck in the hill state.The India Today-Axis My India exit poll stated that the BJP is set to win in Uttarakhand, winning 46-53 seats in the 70-member assembly. On the other hand, the ruling Congress is projected to come a distant second with 12-21 seats, it said.
