Hyderabad, July 28 (NSS): Veteran Journalists’ Association will be honouring eminent Editor ABK Prasad with lifetime achievement award at a function to be held at Somajiguda Press Club here at 10.30 a.m. on August 1. A book on ABK’s services and achievements will be released on the occasion.
ABK had served as Editor of Eenadu, Andhra Bhoomi, Udayam and Vartha and he is known to be a crusader of Editorial independence from Management. At the age of 89 years, he is still active and continuing with his writings. He has put in 61 years of service in Journalism.
Dr Sanjay Baru, advisor to former PM and former Editor of Financial Express, will be chief guest at the function, while Dasu Kesavarao, president, VJA, will preside. K Srinivas Reddy, Chairman, Telangana Media Academy, will be special guest. Dr K Ramachandra Murthy, prominent Editor, Dr K Srinivas, Editor, Andhra Jyothi and RV Ramarao, Editor, Visalandhra, will be honorary guests. K Lakshmana Rao, Secretary, VJA, said all the journalists are welcome to the function.
