Hyderabad, Feb.9 (RAHNUMA): The intense election campaign in Telangana, which has been ongoing since the announcement of the municipal elections, concluded on Monday.
In this context, the ruling Congress party has further sharpened its strategies. As it was the last day of campaigning, after concluding his campaign in 8 districts, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy held an urgent zoom meeting with his Ministers earlier in the day.
In this meeting, the Chief Minister held extensive discussions on the political situation prevailing in the 116 municipalities and 7 corporations across the state. He inquired with the Ministers about the party’s strengths at the grassroots level, the strategies of the opposition parties, and the pulse of the voters.
The Chief Minister instructed the Ministers to remain vigilant every minute, even after the campaigning ends, until the polling concludes. He advised them to immediately resolve any dissent or rebel issues and bring the cadre together. The Chief Minister also reviewed the role played by the Ministers in effectively communicating the government’s guarantees and welfare schemes to the public.
He made it clear that the goal should be to win the maximum number of municipalities, and that the results of these elections would stand as a testament to the government’s performance. The Chief Minister made few suggestions and tried to instill new enthusiasm among Congress leaders.
