Vijayotsava Sabha to focus on empowering women, unveiling welfare schemes: Seethakka

Warangal, Nov.17 (NSS): The much-anticipated ‘Vijayotsava Sabha’ at Hanamkonda Arts & Science College on November 19 will focus on empowering women and unveiling innovative welfare schemes, said Minister for Panchayat Raj and Rural Development Seethakka.

Seethakka along with her Cabinet colleague Konda Surekha visited the Hanamkonda Arts & Science College here on Sunday and reviewed the arrangements for the meeting.

Speaking to the media on the occasion, Minister Seethakka emphasised the State government’s ambitious goal of economically empowering one crore women and transforming them into entrepreneurs.

She highlighted the government’s action plan to facilitate rural women’s entry into industrial ventures, fostering long-term self-reliance and growth.

Seethakka further informed that Chief Minister Revanth Reddy is likely to announce innovative schemes for women empowerment on that day.

 “Similarly, the foundation stones will be laid for 22 district-level women’s empowerment centers during the Chief Minister’s visit to the district,” she said.

The Minister also disclosed that for the first time in the nation, women’s self-help groups will be allocated solar power plants to support sustainable growth and cost-saving energy solutions. In addition to this, the government plans to introduce comprehensive insurance coverage to ensure the welfare and security of women associated with self-help groups, she added.

Minister Konda Surekha said the Vijayotsava Sabha would serve as a platform to unveil transformative programmes designed to empower women across the Telangana State .
