
Hyderabad, Aug.17 (NSS): The nine-day Vinayaka Chavithi celebrations are set to begin on September 7. The festival is celebrated with great enthusiasm and devotion across the Telangana State, particularly with great fervour in Hyderabad.
Keeping in view the upcoming Vinayaka Chavithi festival, Minister for Transport Ponnam Prabhakar held a meeting with the officials to discuss the arrangements for the festival at the Command Control Center here on Saturday.
Officials from GHMC, Police, Water Works, Revenue, and R&B departments attended the meeting. Members of the Bhagyanagar Ganesh Utsav Samiti and Khairatabad Ganesh Utsav Samiti also participated in the meeting.
Speaking on the occasion, Ponnam Prabhakar, who is an in-charge Minister of Hyderabad district, has asked the officials concerned to take all measures to ensure the smooth conduct of Vinayaka Chavithi festival.
The Minister said the Ganesh festival would be celebrated with great pomp and splendor in Greater Hyderabad and devotees from all over the country would flock to Hyderabad to worship the Khairatabad Ganesh and other prominent places.
He instructed officials to take necessary measures to prevent the problems from arising during the installation of idols to their immersion, ensuring convenience for all devotees.
