WE Hub launches WE-Engage for empowering women entrepreneurs

Hyderabad, Nov.9 (NSS)WE Hub, a Government of Telangana initiative, committed to empowering women entrepreneurs, announced the launch of WE-Engage under its Urban Innovation vertical on Saturday.

WE-Engage offers a suite of stage-specific, sector-agnostic programs tailored to support women at various stages of their entrepreneurial journey from idea inception to scaling and growth. In collaboration with key partners, WE Hub has designed these programs to provide targeted resources, including mentoring, expert-led knowledge sessions, market access, funding opportunities, and strategic networking. By addressing the unique challenges that women face in entrepreneurship, WE-Engage aims to create an inclusive, supportive ecosystem that drives sustainable growth for women-led ventures across sectors.

As part of the WE-Engage launch, WE Hub introduced the first set of 21 early revenue women-led startups which will be enabled with the tools and resources needed to scale their business under the Wadhwani Liftoff – WE-Engage Propel program. The event also witnessed the launch of WE Foundher, a unique initiative to empower Women Founders in their entrepreneurial journey through funding support.

The launch event featured a dynamic panel discussion with key leaders from Telangana’s startup ecosystem, including  Sita Pallacholla, CEO, WE Hub,  Sujit Jagirdar, CEO, T-Hub,  Joginder Tanikella, CEO, T-Works, and. Meraj Faheem from TSIC. They shared insights on the evolving ecosystem, highlighting opportunities for growth and innovation for women entrepreneurs in Telangana.  Rajeshwari Srinivasan graced the occasion as a special guest and delivered a brief address.

Sita Pallacholla, during her opening remarks said: “We are committed to redefining the path for women founders and creating tangible impact at every step.  Today, with great pride, we launch three transformative programs under our WE- Engage initiative, empowering startups from idea to IPO. We congratulate the 21 outstanding women-led startups selected for this journey and wish them great success as they move forward.”

Vinutha Rallapalli, CSA, WE Hub, shared her excitement on the unveiling of WE Foundher, saying “WE Foundher is a groundbreaking initiative dedicated to bridging the funding gap for women-led startups. By creating tailored startup showcases that align with each fund’s mandate, we connect investors committed to empowering female founders with high-potential, investment-ready startups. Through stage  and sector specific access to capital, we are paving the way for increase in women’s representation in fund portfolios..”

The event concluded with a networking hi-tea session and interactive activities, offering attendees valuable opportunities for connection and collaboration. WE Hub invites all women-led enterprises from urban India to be part of WE-Engage programs.
