Hyderabad, May 30 (NSS): Gangadhar Panday, president, Babul NGO, on the occasion of World Environment Day said Babul Films Society NGO was registered as Non-Profit in 2012, with a mission to spread awareness about Environment, Biodiversity and Sustainable Development using short videos & social media in addition to traditional advocacy methods.
Founder Ganagadhar Panday dedicated his career to raising awareness about environmental issues. He is a Trained Actor. Acted in English, Hindi and Telugu Movies, he is Life Member of MAA and AATT. He took early retirement to pursue his passion in the environment and Cinema. VIII Babul Eco Film Festival (BEFF) is a celebration of World Environment Day by Babul NGO for five days from June 1 to 5. The festival will screen a selection of Best & latest Green films from all over the world, offering diverse perspectives on the environment, Climate and Change, Marine biodiversity, Air & Water pollution and so on. The screenings will be held at multiple locations like GNITS (Shaikpet), Ramanaidu Film School (Filmnagar), Lamakaan (Banjara Hills), Sri Sarathi Studios (Ameerpet) and ANAR Eco Screen Room Babul NGO (Shaikpetnala) Hyderabad. Some of the filmmakers will be connecting virtually. Apart from the film screenings, there will be many side events, eco-games and fun activities like EcoTambola, FunDuChallenge, EcoShoot, EcoFit, EcoCartoon and so on.
