Amaravati, Oct.23 (NSS): YSR Congress Party senior woman leader and former chairperson of women’s commission Vasireddy Padma has resigned from the primary membership of the YSRCP. She sent her resignation letter to the party office.
On the occasion, she made sensational comments on the party president YS Jagan Mohan Reddy. “Jagan is now talking good book and promotions for those who have worked hard in the party. What should be there for leaders and activists is not the good book but a book of heart,” she said. She mocked that Jagan, who thinks that there was no need to care for the party activists who have laid down their lives, was now talking about the good book.
Padma claimed that Jagan was ready to cheat once again in the name of the good book. “Jagan has no responsibility to lead the party. There is no responsibility in governance. There is no greater responsibility towards the society. People do not appreciate a leader, who has undemocratic methods and dictatorial tendencies,” she said. Vasireddy Padma claimed that the verdict of the last election had made it clear and added that after the people’s verdict, she reviewed many issues and decided to leave the YSRCP.
Padma has been staying away from party activities for some time now. She resigned from the post of chairperson of the Women’s Commission ahead of the Assembly elections. Jaggayyapeta seat was expected by her in the elections. However, Jaggayyapeta seat had not been allotted to her.
