Hyderabad, May 9 (RAHNUMA): Minister for Housing, Revenue, and Information & Public Relations, Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy, declared that the State government will introduce extended working hours at 15 sub-registrar offices starting May 12.
He mentioned that these offices will operate from 9:30 AM to 6:30 PM, and specific measures will be put in place to enhance convenience for the public. These offices include Champapet, Saroornagar, Vanasthalipuram, Gandipet, Maheshwaram, Farooqnagar, Shadnagar, Ranga Reddy Rural, LB Nagar, Serilingampally, Sangareddy, Ghatkesar, Nalgonda R.O., Patancheru and Quthbullapur.
In the wake of a massive surge in demand for registrations following the State Cabinet’s decision to revise land values across the state and to rationalise land prices in certain regions where they exhibited significant disparities compared to actual market rates, the Minister
specifically instructed the officials to take appropriate measures to prevent any inconvenience to the people.
Additionally, keeping the needs of the public in mind, the Minister directed officials to increase the number of available slots for booking appointments. He directed the officials to identify the Sub-Registrar offices in other parts of the state that are experiencing a surge in registration volume and to extend the working hours as necessary to meet the demand.
Furthermore, the Minister instructed the officials to coordinate with Tahsildar offices where the registration of agricultural lands takes place.
He directed the State Inspector General of Registrations, Rajiv Gandhi Hanumantu, to take appropriate measures in alignment with the state government’s primary objectives for the registration process: transparency, efficiency and public convenience.
