Hyderabad, June 1 (RAHNUMA): The Telangana Social Welfare Residential Educational Institutions Society (TGSWREIS) has once again brought laurels to the State by registering remarkable success in the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main and JEE Advanced 2026, reaffirming the transformative power of quality public education.

Students from the Society’s Centres of Excellence (COEs) delivered an impressive performance in one of the country’s most competitive entrance examinations, underscoring the academic excellence nurtured within Telangana’s Social Welfare Gurukul institutions.

A total of 358 students qualified in JEE Main 2026, reflecting the sustained academic rigor and student-centric ecosystem established across the Society’s educational institutions. The achievement assumes greater significance as the majority of the successful candidates hail from economically and socially disadvantaged backgrounds.

In the highly prestigious JEE Advanced 2026, which serves as the gateway to the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs), 61 students secured direct admission eligibility, while 102 students obtained preparatory ranks, taking the total number of students eligible for admission to IITs to 163.

The performance of TGSWREIS students in community rankings was equally noteworthy. One student secured a rank within the top 500, three students within the top 1,000, fourteen within the top 2,000, twenty-five within the top 3,000, and thirty-nine students within the top 5,000 community ranks, demonstrating the growing national competitiveness of Gurukul students.

Among the standout performers, P. Hemanth from the Chilkur Boys Centre of Excellence secured an impressive All India Community Rank of 200 in the ST category, emerging as one of the institution’s top achievers.

Disclosing the results, Sakru Naik, Joint Secretary (academics), TGSWREIS, stated that the outstanding performance reflects the dedication of students, teachers and parents alike, and is a testament to the academic ecosystem painstakingly built within the Society’s institutions.

TGSWREIS Secretary Vijeyendra Boi expressed delight over the results and observed that the success reflects the confidence reposed by parents in the Gurukul system.

Congratulating the students, teachers and parents, Minister for SC Development, Tribal Welfare and Minorities Welfare Adluri Laxman Kumar said the results exemplify the State government’s commitment to advancing social justice through education under the leadership of Chief Minister A.
