Visakhapatnam, July 21 (RAHNUMA): Twenty-two IPS officer trainees of the 78th Regular Recruitment (RR) batch from the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel National Police Academy (SVPNPA), Hyderabad, underwent a specialised maritime security module with the Andhra Pradesh Coastal Security Police.
On this occasion, Inspector General of Police (Visakhapatnam Range (FAC), Coastal security police, Gopinath Jatti briefed the trainees on coastal surveillance, maritime border protection, anti-smuggling operations and coordination with the Indian Navy, Coast Guard and other agencies. He delivered a comprehensive presentation on the critical role of the Coastal Security Police in strengthening India’s maritime security architecture. The programme also highlighted technology-driven coastal vigilance and emergency preparedness.
