Hyderabad, Aug.16 (NSS): G. Niranjan, TPCC Senior Vice-President & Chairman, Election Commission Coordination Committee Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee welcomed the announcement of the name of Abhishek Manu Singhvi as Congress candidate in Rajya Sabha by-elections.
It is an honour to represent Telangana in the Rajya Sabha, Abhishek Manu Singhvi, a senior advocate of the Supreme Court, an eminent jurist and intellectual who has argued several national constitutional cases. Singhvi is a celebrity who actively participates in various social activities. His valuable services as a member of Rajya Sabha, the legislature, in making laws and providing advice are indispensable.
BRS leaders have no right to question the decision of Congress party. BRS leaders Vaddiraju Ravichandra and Srinivas Goud are questioning the selection of Abhishek Manu Singhvi instead of State leaders is a proof of their stupidity. Congress is a national party. It knows where and how to give opportunities to the leaders in the Congress and how to use them. Congress does not need BRS lessons.
KTR is unable to digest successful implementation of free bus service to women. If he demands more buses that would be justified. But what is the relevance in saying for giving a bus to each one and giving a bus for picking onions, giving a bus for pilgrimages, giving a bus for breaking dances?
It seems he is mentally upset and speaking madly. It is not appropriate to talk about women without any respect. KTR should retract his comments and apologize to Telangana women, he added.
