
Nizamabad, Oct.4 (NSS): After taking oath as the President of the Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC), Mahesh Kumar Goud on Friday visited Nizamabad for the first time. To mark the occasion, a grand felicitation ceremony was organised in his honour at the old collectorate grounds in Nizamabad.
The event witnessed the presence of key dignitaries, including AICC In-charge Deepadas Munshi, Ministers Ponnam Prabhakar, Komatireddy Venkat Reddy, Tummala Nageswara Rao, Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy and Konda Surekha, MPs Suresh Shetkar and Anil Kumar Yadav, along with several MLAs, senior leaders, and other notable figures.
Speaking on the occasion, Minister Ponnam Prabhakar hailed Mahesh Kumar Goud as the beloved son of Nizamabad, who rose from the ranks of the National Students’ Union of India (NSUI) to become the State President of the Congress party.
He emphasized that political opportunities are not just given, but earned through hard work. Mahesh’s journey from being an NSUI worker to PCC President is a testament to the fact that any position can be achieved with dedication.
Minister Prabhakar also mentioned that under the leadership of Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, the Congress party has launched several initiatives. Despite the opposition’s attempts to defame the government, he urged party members to take Congress’s programs to the grassroots level and strengthen the party’s presence among the people.
Ponnam Prabhakar also stressed the importance of local body elections, expressing confidence that the Congress flag would fly high in future elections. He called on all party members to remain steadfast and committed, stating that the Congress party has always fulfilled its promises to the people and upheld its values.
He asked the party workers to work together to ensure Congress’s victory in local elections and to further empower the party.
