Cm Revanth Angry Over Frequent Food Poisoning Incidents In Hostels

Hyderabad, Nov.28 (NSS): Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy on Thursday expressed anger over the surge in food poisoning cases across Telangana’s government hostels and Gurukuls.

He asked the District Collectors to treat the students of the government schools, hostels and Gurukul across the Telangana State like own children and stop neglecting in providing nutritious food in hygienic conditions.

The Chief Minister held a series of reviews on the recent incidents taking place regarding the supply of food to the students. He instructed the Collectors to inspect the schools, hostels and Gurukul schools frequently and submit the relevant reports.

Expressing regret over the mistakes committed despite the repeated orders, the Chief Minister warned that action will be taken against the officials and staff who are negligent in providing nutritious food to the students.

Revanth Reddy made it clear that he will not hesitate to remove the official, who is found negligent in providing food to students, from the services.

The Chief Minister reminded the students that thousands of teachers have been recruited with the aim of providing good education and the diet charges have also been increased to provide nutritious food.

He also warned that despite taking positive decisions for the welfare of students, some forces have been trying to defame the government and such forces will be dealt with strictly and those responsible will be punished as per the law.

Stating that some people are deliberately creating rumours and spreading false news about the supply of food in hostels and creating panic among the parents of students, the Chief Minister has ordered the officials to take strict action against them too.
