Hyderabad, Nov.27 (RAHNUMA): Minister for Roads & Buildings and Cinematography Komatireddy Venkat Reddy held a detailed review on the State’s long-term infrastructure blueprint — Vision 2047 — at the R&B headquarters, Erramanzil, Hyderabad on Wednesday.
Minister Vakati Srihari, RDC Chairman Mall Reddy Ram Reddy, Special Chief Secretary Vikas Raj, R&B ENC Mohan Naik, Jayabharathi, NHAI Regional Officer Shiva Shankar and senior officials from R&B and NHAI participated.
Speaking at the review, the Minister said the Roads and Buildings department has a decisive role to play in Telangana’s development trajectory. He stated that the government is working with the ambition of contributing significantly to the Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy’s target of a $3 trillion Telangana economy.
Minister Komatireddy directed officials to forecast traffic requirements for the next 5, 10 and 15 years and prepare a comprehensive action plan to match future mobility demands.
He said completing one crore sq. ft of construction works within the R&B system in just two years stands as a remarkable achievement and reflects the pace of infrastructure development under the present administration.
“Several mega infrastructure initiatives, including HAM model road works, Regional Ring Road (RRR), radial roads from the Outer Ring Road, expressways and elevated corridors, will drastically reshape Telangana’s connectivity ecosystem,” he observed.
The Minister also underlined the need to speed up proposals related to new airports, high-speed corridors and urban elevated mobility systems to support economic growth, industrial development and tourism.
Officials were instructed to classify the existing road network—single lane, double lane and four-lane—and devise a project-wise approach for upgrading them based on future demand.
With the Global Summit scheduled for December 8 and 9, the Minister asked the department to prepare a high-quality video presentation and Vision Document covering completed works and major upcoming projects such as the Mannanur–Srisailam Elevated Corridor, Bharat Future City–Bandaru Port Greenfield Highway, and the Hyderabad–Vijayawada Expressway.
Minister Komatireddy said the new Vision Document would reflect the government’s commitment to world-class infrastructure, long-term planning and future-ready connectivity.
