Hyderabad, Jan.16 (RAHNUMA): In view of the “Sammakka Saralamma Jatara,” Asia’s largest tribal festival, which is scheduled to be held from the 28th to the 31st of this month, TGSRTC has made special arrangements for devotees , who wish to offer jaggery , which is also called gold by devotees to the goddesses. It is a tradition for devotees to flock from various regions to Medaram in Mulugu (Warangal) district to worship the goddesses Sammakka and Saralamma and offer the gold. However, for devotees, who are unable to travel to Medaram for various reasons, TGSRTC Logistics has made arrangements to deliver the jaggery offering to their homes.
With the cooperation of the Endowments Department, the gold offering packet from the Medaram goddesses will include a photo of the deities, along with jaggery, turmeric, and vermilion. The Devotees wishing to receive this gold offering packet need to pay only Rs. 299/-.
