Hyderabad, April 14 (RAHNUMA): Minister for Social Welfare Adluri Laxman Kumar stated that the “Praja Government” (People’s Government) of Telangana was moving forward in alignment with the ideals of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, guided by his principle that education alone is the solution to all problems.
On Tuesday, marking the occasion of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar’s 135th birth anniversary celebrations, the Minister paid grand tributes by garlanding Ambedkar’s statue at Tank Bund in Hyderabad in the presence of Chief Minister Revanth Reddy.
Speaking at a programme on the occasion, Minister Adluri Laxman Kumar remarked that under the leadership of Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, their government was taking several bold decisions aimed at achieving social justice and equality.
The Minister recalled the government’s decision to establish “Young India Integrated Schools” in every assembly constituency across Telangana State—spanning approximately 25 acres each and at a cost of ₹200 crore with the objective of providing quality education to Dalit, Tribal, BC (Backward Classes) and Minority communities without any discrimination.
He expressed the view that these schools would serve as hubs for holistic education and personality development for future generations.
The Minister further noted that the Praja Government was taking special initiatives to effectively implement the Constitution drafted by the global intellectual Dr. B.R. Ambedkar. He explained that the formation of Telangana State itself was made possible in accordance with Ambedkar’s theory, which posited that the creation of smaller states contributes to development.
The Minister highlighted that the Congress government deserves the credit for increasing diet charges by 40 percent and cosmetic charges by 200 percent, thereby ensuring that Dalit and Tribal students receive nutritious food in addition to quality education.
Adluri Laxman Kumar stated that the state government was prioritising the education sector by allocating funds of ₹1,000 crore for the development of Osmania University, an institution with a rich history spanning 125 years.
The Minister appealed to Chief Minister Revanth Reddy to incorporate the history of Dr. Ambedkar into the Telangana school curriculum. He expressed the view that such an inclusion would serve as a source of inspiration for future generations.
The event was attended by Ministers Seethakka and Ponnam Prabhakar, MLAs Kavvampally Satyanarayana, Danam Nagender, Naveen Kumar Yadav and Mandula Samuel , MLC Addanki Dayakar, Professor Kodandaram, former MP Anjan Kumar Yadav, former Minister Mothkupalli Narsimhulu and others.
