
Hyderabad, April 14 (RAHNUMA): Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Bandi Sanjay Kumar on Tuesday lauded Bharat Ratna Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar—the Architect of the Constitution—as a great visionary, who fought tirelessly for the rights of women and for their equality.
He stated that, inspired by Ambedkar’s vision, the Narendra Modi-led government at the Centre was set to introduce the Women’s Reservation Bill in Parliament.
Bandi Sanjay appealed to everyone to extend their support to the bill by rising above political differences.
On the occasion of Ambedkar Jayanti, Bandi Sanjay Kumar paid floral tributes to the portrait of the great leader. Subsequently, he released a statement to the media.
In his statement, the Union Minister noted that inspired by Ambedkar’s ideals, the Narendra Modi government had taken the historic decision to implement reservations for women in legislative bodies.
He appealed to every member of Parliament to rise above political considerations and extend their support to the Bill.
The Union Minister termed Ambedkar as a beacon of hope for the oppressed sections of society and added that Ambedkar was an intellectual, who dedicated his entire life to crushing untouchability into oblivion and uprooting the monstrous evil of casteism from its very roots.
Sanjay said that the BJP was making tireless efforts to carry forward the ideals and vision of Babasaheb Ambedkar and added that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is a leader , who had demonstrated his profound reverence for Ambedkar by declaring, on the floor of the Parliament, that his own elevation to the office of Prime Minister was a gift—a benevolence—bestowed upon him by Ambedkar.
