Hyderabad, May 18 (RAHNUMA): Senior Congress leader and Advisor to the Telangana Government’s BC welfare department, V. Hanumantha Rao, will be felicitated with the ‘Seal Well-Shruthilaya Lifetime Achievement Award’ at a special civic reception to be held at Ravindra Bharathi here on Tuesday evening.
Senior journalist and Awards Committee Chairman Dr. Mohammed Rafi announced that the event, scheduled for 5:30 PM, is being jointly organised by Seal Well Corporation, Shruthilaya Arts Academy and Adarsha Foundation in association with the Telangana department of Language and Culture.
Telangana Legislative Assembly Speaker Gaddam Prasad Kumar will attend as the chief guest, while State IT and Industries Minister Duddilla Sridhar Babu, Legislative Council Opposition Leader S. Madhusudhanachari, and former Telangana Police Housing Corporation Chairman Kolleti Damodar Gupta will participate as guests of honour.
Dr. Rafi said the felicitation recognises Hanumantha Rao’s long political and public service career, including his roles as PCC President, AICC in-charge for Karnataka, Minister in the Chenna Reddy cabinet, MLA, MLC and Member of Parliament.
Singer and Shruthilaya Founding Secretary Amani said the programme would also feature the 86th edition of the “Seal Well Suswaralu” film music concert and special dance performances choreographed by Rajesh. She appealed to VH’s admirers and Congress leaders to attend the event in large numbers.
