
Hyderabad, May 18 (RAHNUMA): As part of the Praja Palana Pragathi Pranalika, the Telangana government has launched Youth and Sports Week celebrations across the state from May 18 to 23 with the objective of promoting fitness, sports culture, and youth participation.
Ministers Vakiti Srihari, Ponnam Prabhakar, and Government Advisor AP Jithender Reddy participated in the inaugural events along with Sports Authority Chairman Shivasena Reddy, Mal Reddy Ram Reddy, and Sports Authority Managing Director Sony Bala Devi.
The dignitaries enthusiastically participated in a Zumba programme organised at the LB Stadium Tennis Complex in Hyderabad, encouraging youth and citizens to adopt healthy and active lifestyles.
As part of the celebrations, the Ministers and officials also flagged off a 5-kilometre walkathon to promote awareness on physical fitness, sports development, and community participation.
The week-long celebrations will feature various sports competitions, fitness activities, awareness programmes, and youth engagement events across Telangana.
The government stated that the initiative reflects its commitment towards strengthening sports infrastructure, encouraging youth empowerment, and building a healthier society through active participation in sports and fitness activities.
