Hyderabad, May 23 (RAHNUMA): Telangana minister Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy on Saturday launched a sharp attack on former Minister and senior BRS leader T. Harish Rao over his criticism of the proposed ‘Future City’ project.
Responding through social media platform X account, Ponguleti questioned how Harish Rao, while in the United States, could claim that he would stop the Future City project. He sarcastically remarked that Harish Rao himself was uncertain about his own political future within the BRS party.
The Minister accused the previous BRS government of failing to complete even a single Metro station during its ten-year tenure and said the Congress government was now focused on building a modern city for Telangana’s future.
Ponguleti alleged that BRS leaders had obstructed projects such as the Musi River rejuvenation initiative and industrial development in Lagacharla. He accused the opposition party of attempting to block employment opportunities for youth through “conspiracies”.
Asserting confidence in the Congress party returning to power in the next elections, Ponguleti declared that the “Future City” project would continue despite opposition. “The BRS has no future; the Future City is unstoppable”, he asserted.
