
Hyderabad, May 23 (RAHNUMA): Union Minister for Coal and Mines, G. Kishan Reddy participated in the 19th Rozgar Mela held at Rail Kalarang, Secunderabad, on Saturday and distributed appointment letters to 218 newly recruited candidates across six Central Government departments.
The 19th tranche of the nationwide Rozgar Mela was organized simultaneously at 47 locations across the country, where nearly 51,000 appointment letters were distributed to newly selected candidates. Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the recruits virtually during the event.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi, while addressing the gathering virtually, described the occasion as an important milestone for the nation’s youth. He said the newly inducted recruits joining sectors such as Railways, Banking, Defence, Health, and Education are now an integral part of India’s journey toward becoming a “Viksit Bharat.”
The Prime Minister emphasized that government employees have responsibilities not only toward their families but also toward society and the nation. He encouraged the recruits to maintain integrity and honesty in public service and continuously upgrade their skills using platforms such as iGOT Karmayogi.
Referring to his recent visits to five countries, the Prime Minister noted the global enthusiasm for India’s technological and economic progress. He highlighted emerging opportunities in sectors such as semiconductors, agriculture, advanced manufacturing, artificial intelligence, digital innovation, green technology, critical minerals, and science & technology, stating that Indian youth would play a key role in these transformational areas.
Speaking on the occasion, Kishan Reddy said that the Rozgar Mela not only provides employment opportunities but also to empower unemployed youth and encourage self-reliance. He noted that since 2022, lakhs of young people have secured Central Government jobs through these mega recruitment drives.
The Union Minister emphasized that the Central Government is actively filling vacancies across various ministries, departments, and Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) to create employment opportunities for youth. He added that India’s youth are increasingly transforming from job-seekers into job-creators, with startups and the ‘Make in India’ initiative significantly contributing to employment generation, particularly in the manufacturing sector.
Congratulating the newly appointed candidates, Kishan Reddy said that government service provides a valuable opportunity to serve the nation over the next two to three decades. He urged them to work with sincerity, dedication, and a spirit of public service for the development of the country. He also advised the recruits to respect and support their parents, acknowledging the sacrifices made for their success.
At the Secunderabad event, senior officials including Sanjay Kumar Srivastava, General Manager, South Central Railway; Siddharth Kati, Principal Chief Personnel Officer, SCR; Dr. R. Gopalakrishnan, Divisional Railway Manager, Secunderabad Division; and other senior officers from Railways and Central Government departments were present.
Earlier, Sanjay Kumar Srivastava delivered the welcome address and described the Rozgar Mela as a defining moment for thousands of youth joining government service and contributing toward the vision of a developed India.
