
Hyderabad, May 27 (RAHNUMA): GITAM,Deemed to be University, Hyderabad campus will introduce a four-year Integrated Teacher Education Programme (ITEP) from 2026–27 academic year under the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 framework.
The University will offer dual-degree programmes – B.A. B.Ed. and B.Sc. B.Ed. – aimed at preparing professionally trained and multidisciplinary educators. According to Dr. Richa Sharma, Head of the School of Education, the programme integrates subject expertise with pedagogical training immediately after Intermediate education.
Admissions will be conducted through the National Common Entrance Test (NCET) 2026. The programme is being rolled out across 223 institutions nationwide, including IITs, NITs, Regional Institutes of Education (RIEs), Central and State Universities, and GITAM also, with nearly 16,950 seats available.
