
Hyderabad, June 10 (RAHNUMA): Telangana has offered to share its expertise in pharmaceuticals and life sciences with Ghana and extend cooperation for the establishment of a pharmaceutical manufacturing hub in the West African nation, Minister for Information Technology and Industries D. Sridhar Babu said.
The assurance was given during a meeting with a high-level Ghanaian delegation led by Presidential Advisor Augustus Obuadum Tano at the Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Telangana Secretariat on Wednesday.
The discussions focused on strengthening bilateral cooperation between Telangana and Ghana and exploring opportunities for collaboration in industrial development, pharmaceuticals, life sciences and economic transformation. Tano briefed the Minister on Ghana’s flagship 24-Hour Economy and Accelerated Export Development Programme and the country’s plans to establish a Pharma Hub aimed at boosting manufacturing and exports.
Seeking Telangana’s expertise in these initiatives, the Ghanaian delegation highlighted the State’s success in promoting industrial growth and attracting investments across key sectors.
Sridhar Babu said Telangana had emerged as a major destination for investments in pharmaceuticals, life sciences, electronics, aerospace, food processing, defence and advanced manufacturing. He outlined the State government’s industry-friendly policies and ease-of-doing-business framework, which he said had played a key role in accelerating industrial development.
The Minister said Telangana was willing to share its expertise in pharmaceutical manufacturing, research and development, vaccine production, global supply chain management and life sciences. He assured the delegation that Telangana would be a reliable partner in Ghana’s industrial and economic transformation journey.
The meeting concluded with discussions on knowledge-sharing and potential partnerships in pharmaceuticals, life sciences and industrial development, with both sides expressing interest in deepening economic cooperation.
