Hyderabad, June 10 (RAHNUMA): Minister for Tourism, Culture, and Excise Jupally Krishna Rao said the Telangana government’s decision, taken under the directions of Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, to ensure disbursal of salaries and remuneration on the first day of every month reflects its commitment to employee welfare, financial discipline and good governance.
In a statement on Wednesday, the Minister said the finance department’s recent instructions would bring greater financial certainty to lakhs of families across the State by ensuring uniform salary and remuneration disbursal across all eligible categories of employees and personnel.
The initiative covers personnel working in corporations, public sector undertakings, societies, universities, local bodies and grant-in-aid institutions, besides Contract employees, Outsourcing personnel and other eligible categories, he said.
Krishna Rao observed that salary payments at the beginning of every month would help employees and personnel plan their household finances more effectively and meet commitments such as loan instalments, educational expenses, rent, utility bills and healthcare costs without disruption.
He said the measure would also help employees maintain healthy credit records, avoid unnecessary bank charges and penalties, and manage their financial responsibilities with greater confidence and certainty.
The Minister noted that regular salary payments strengthen household financial stability, enhance purchasing power and contribute to economic activity at the grassroots level.
Describing the initiative as a significant employee welfare measure, Krishna Rao said it demonstrates the government’s resolve to address issues that directly impact the day-to-day lives of employees and their families.
Krishna Rao thanked Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy and Deputy Chief Minister and Finance Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka for institutionalising a mechanism to ensure salary and remuneration disbursal on the first day of every month across all eligible categories covered under the State government’s purview.
