Hyderabad, June 19 (RAHNUMA): Minister for Agriculture Tummala Nageswar Rao stated that mechanisation holds immense importance in modern agriculture.
The Minister visited the stall set up by representatives of XCA at the ‘EarthCon Expo-2026’ held at HITEX, Madhapur, on Friday and personally inspected the functioning of the loader and excavator machines displayed there.
Speaking on the occasion, the Minister remarked that machinery such as loaders and excavators would be highly beneficial to farmers. He noted that in the current scenario, marked by an acute shortage of farm labour, such machines would prove immensely useful by enabling farmers to complete agricultural tasks quickly.
The Minister commended the representatives of XCA for making affordable, portable machinery available to farmers for easy use in their fields.
Tummala Nageswar Rao stated that if these machines are included in the farm mechanisation scheme implemented by the Agriculture department, there would be an opportunity to provide them to farmers with a 40% subsidy. He also advised the company’s management to soon introduce battery-operated models to the market as an alternative to the current diesel-powered machines.
