Hyderabad, June 3 ( RAHNUMA): BJP state president N. Ramchander Rao on Tuesday expressed confidence that the party would come to power in Telangana under the leadership of BJP national president Nitin Nabin. “We must all work with a “Team BJP” spirit, aiming for victory in every program and every election as we move forward. The fact that Nitin Nabin undertook an extensive three-day tour of the state clearly demonstrates the high priority the party’s national leadership places on Telangana”, he noted.
Addressing the BJP State Executive Committee meeting, attended by Nitin Nabin, Rao said Telangana has become a priority for the party’s national leadership, evident from Nabin’s three-day tour of the State and his participation in the meeting.
Claiming that the BJP is emerging as a strong alternative in Telangana, Rao alleged that the previous BRS and the present Congress governments had pushed the State into debt through corruption, dynastic politics and administrative failures. The growing public dissatisfaction with the Congress government would strengthen the BJP’s prospects, he claimed.
The BJP leader also criticized the Revanth Reddy government over HYDRAA demolition drives, alleging that thousands of poor and middle-class families had been affected. While reiterating the party’s support for the rejuvenation of Musi River, he opposed large-scale spending and displacement of residents in the name of development. “The priority should be to clean the Musi River first and other development plans should be undertaken subsequently. Otherwise, suspicions will grow that this project, too, will turn into a waste of public funds – much like the Kaleshwaram project”, he remarked.
Rao urged party workers to work with a “Team BJP” spirit and strive for victory in every election, expressing confidence that the party would soon hoist its flag in Telangana.
