CM Revanth orders policy for Yadagirigutta land allocation

Hyderabad, June 30 ( RAHNUMA): Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has instructed officials to develop a policy regarding the allocation of land to various Mathas in the temple town of Yadagirigutta.

On Tuesday, the Chief Minister assessed the progress of the Yadagirigutta temple development at the Bodhi Pavilion of MCRHRD in Hyderabad.

During the meeting, Revanth Reddy emphasised the need to analyse the land allocation procedures used by the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) and stated that land for the Hare Rama Hare Krishna Foundation should be allocated at market rates in Yadagirigutta.

He asserted that ownership rights to the land should remain with the temple, and permissions for constructing guest houses should be granted in phases. Revanth Reddy proposed that the construction of guest houses should follow the Tirumala model, and called for immediate funding for land acquisition. He also highlighted the importance of developing a tourism circuit through a public-private partnership approach.

MPs Vem Narendar Reddy, Chamala Kiran Kumar Reddy and Kunduru Raghuvir Reddy, Government Whip Birla Ilaiah, MLA Kumbham Anil Kumar Reddy; Special Chief Secretary Jayesh Ranjan; Principal Secretary (Endowments) Shailaja Ramaiyar, Commissioner M. Hanumantha Rao; Principal Secretary (Finance) Sandeep Kumar Sultania, CMO Secretary Manik Raj, CMO OSD Vemula Srinivasulu and senior officials from Yadadri district and the temple administration were present in the meeting.
