
Hyderabad, July 7 (RAHNUMA): The Central Integrated Pest Management Centre (CIPMC), Hyderabad, conducted a statewide virtual awareness programme on the National Pest Surveillance System (NPSS) through the Rythu Nestham platform on Tuesday, reaching farmers at 1,026 Rythu Vedikas across Telangana.
Officials explained the use of the NPSS mobile application for pest surveillance, identification, uploading field photographs and receiving scientific advisories. The programme, organised in coordination with the Telangana Agriculture Department, witnessed participation from farmers, extension personnel and agriculture officials. The department also promoted the initiative through its official WhatsApp channels to enhance outreach and encourage adoption of the digital pest management platform.
